About Syriatel Cash

Syriatel Cash is a mobile wallet operated by Syriatel, one of Syria's two mobile network operators, and is the country's most widely used electronic payment service - holding an estimated 80% of the mobile-wallet market as of 2026. It launched as part of the Syrian Electronic Payment (SEP) system that began rolling digital payments out to public institutions in 2020, at a time when years of sanctions and disconnection from international card networks had left most of the country transacting in cash.
