About QRIS

Bank Indonesia created QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) so that a single QR code works with all local banking apps and e-wallets such as GoPay, OVO and DANA. It is accepted by millions of merchants, from street stalls to malls. Through QRIS Cross-Border, visitors from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, South Korea and China can pay Indonesian QRIS codes with supported banking and wallet apps from their own countries, with the amount converted automatically. Visitors from other countries need an Indonesian e-wallet or bank account to use it.

How to Get Started

Check whether your home banking or wallet app supports QRIS Cross-Border.
If not, set up an Indonesian e-wallet such as GoPay, OVO or DANA.
At the till, open the app and scan the merchant’s QRIS code.
Check the merchant name and amount, then confirm the payment.
