Mamikos

An Indonesian website and app for finding and renting kos, the furnished boarding rooms common in Indonesian cities, useful for newcomers who want a monthly room with listed prices, photos and online rent payment.

About Mamikos

Mamikos was started in Yogyakarta in November 2015 by Maria Regina Anggit Tut Pinilih and two colleagues, and is run by PT GIT GOW AYO. In 2021 it reported more than 2 million kos rooms in over 140 cities. Listings show room availability, facilities, photos, prices and owner information, and renters can pay rent in the app with several payment methods. The company also runs managed kos brands such as Singgahsini and Apik, and the Android app, updated in 2026, has more than 5 million downloads.

Key Features

  • Kos Search: Filter rooms by city, budget and options such as daily rental or couple-friendly kos.
  • Room Details: See photos, facilities, prices and, for some listings, 360-degree virtual tours.
  • Online Rent Payment: Pay rent through several payment methods and get reminders before the due date.
  • Contact Owners: Message property owners directly to ask questions or arrange a viewing.

How to Get Started

  1. Open mamikos.com or install the Mamikos app.
  2. Search for kos in your city and compare prices, photos and facilities.
  3. Contact the owner or request a booking for the room you want.
  4. Agree on the rental period and pay the rent through the app or as arranged with the owner.
⚠️ Important Notice

The site and app are in Indonesian, and most listings are monthly rooms rather than whole apartments. Visit or take a virtual tour before paying, and confirm what the rent includes, such as electricity, Wi-Fi and cleaning. Agree the rental terms with the owner in writing, and ask in advance which documents they need from a foreign tenant.
