About HesabPay

HesabPay is Afghanistan's first interoperable digital payments platform, launched in Kabul in 2016 to give people a way to move money electronically in a country where, at the time, only around 6% of the population had a bank account. Backed by Da Afghanistan Bank, it has since grown to roughly a million active users and expanded from a humanitarian-aid disbursement tool into a full consumer wallet, adding an international Visa card in 2026 for cross-border payments.

Key Features

  • Send & Receive Money: Transfer funds instantly to any other HesabPay user across Afghanistan's 34 provinces.
  • Bill & Utility Payments: Pay electricity, internet and other recurring bills directly from the wallet.
  • Mobile Top-Ups: Recharge airtime for any Afghan mobile network without visiting a kiosk.
  • Flight Booking & Visa Card: Book domestic flights in-app, and use the HesabPay Visa card for international online purchases and transfers.
