About STELCO
STELCO, the State Electric Company, is the main electricity provider for Malé, Hulhumalé, Villimalé and other areas of the Greater Malé region. In 2026 it launched the Vashani portal, which brings its customer services onto one digital platform. On Vashani customers can check bills, make payments, get account updates, apply for electricity services and follow requests through SMS notifications. Individuals and businesses can register with an eFaas account or a mobile number.

Important NoticeSTELCO supplies the Greater Malé area and some other islands, while many other inhabited islands are served by FENAKA, so check who supplies your address. Ask your landlord whether electricity is included in the rent or billed separately. Bills rise noticeably with air conditioning use.
