About Turkmenistan Airlines
Turkmenistan Airlines is the state-owned national airline, founded in 1992 and based at Ashgabat International Airport. It carries passengers and cargo on domestic routes inside the country and on international routes. The airline has sold tickets on its official website, turkmenistanairlines.tm, since 2019, and international routes such as Ashgabat to London have been put on sale there.
Key Features
- Domestic and International Flights: Routes from Ashgabat to cities in Turkmenistan and to destinations abroad.
- Online Ticket Sales: Buy tickets on the official website, including for international routes.
- Ticket Offices: Tickets are also sold at the airline's ticket offices, and prices there can differ from the website.
- Official Information: Check up-to-date flights, fares and news on the airline's own site.
How to Get Started
- Open turkmenistanairlines.tm and choose your route and dates.
- Enter the passenger details and pay online, or buy the ticket at a ticket office.
- Keep the booking confirmation and your ticket.
- Check the visa and entry requirements for your trip before you fly.
Routes and schedules change, and international flights were suspended in March 2020 and resumed in 2022, so always check the official website before you plan a trip. Fares on the website and at ticket offices can differ. Foreign visitors need the right visa or entry permission for Turkmenistan before they fly, and the process can be slow, so confirm the requirements with an embassy or a registered tour operator.
