About Hahow

Hahow (好學校, pronounced "hah-how", Taiwanese for "school") is a Taipei-founded online learning platform launched in 2015 by four co-founders, including Arnold Chiang and Austin Huang. It was Asia's first crowdfunding-integrated online course platform: instructors pitch a course idea with an intro video, students pre-order to help it reach a funding target, and only then does the course get produced and released - a model that filters for real demand before an instructor invests in filming. Hahow has since grown into Taiwan's largest interdisciplinary online learning site, with 1,000+ instructors and courses spanning design, programming, business, languages, music and hobbies.
