About Zabihah

Zabihah is a long-running, user-contributed directory of halal restaurants, butchers, and grocery stores worldwide. Coverage inside Syria itself is naturally lighter than in Muslim-majority countries with large expat directories already built up, but it's most useful for Syrians traveling abroad and for finding halal-certified options in cities with an existing entry.

Key Features

Halal Restaurant Search: Find nearby halal-certified or halal-friendly restaurants by location.
User Reviews: Community ratings and comments on listed venues.
Filterable Categories: Search specifically for restaurants, butchers, or grocery stores.
Global Coverage: Most useful outside Syria, for travel to cities with a well-established local directory.

How to Get Started

Open the Zabihah website or app and search your current or destination city.
Filter results by restaurant, butcher, or grocery store as needed.
Check user reviews and certification notes before visiting.
Contribute a new listing yourself if a halal venue near you isn't listed yet.

Before you use it

Limits: In a Muslim-majority country almost all food is halal, so the app is useful mainly when travelling abroad.
Good to know: Listings are added by users and some are outdated, so call the restaurant before going.
