Mobicom is one of Mongolia's main mobile operators; tourist SIMs with data are sold at kiosks in the arrivals hall of Chinggis Khaan airport and activated on the spot with a passport.

About Mobicom:

Tourist packages are data-focused and usually cost around USD 10–20 for a couple of weeks. Mobicom has strong coverage in Ulaanbaatar and major towns. Outside aimag centres the signal is patchy or absent, and public Wi-Fi is rare beyond Ulaanbaatar. Top-ups are sold in shops, kiosks and in the operator's app.
