ADK Hospital opened in Malé in 1996 as the first private hospital in the Maldives, growing out of the MediClinic clinic that opened in 1987. The hospital on Sosun Magu has more than 200 beds, including intensive care, coronary care and neonatal units, an emergency department and five operating theatres.
