About Jordan Post
Jordan Post Company is the public postal operator of Jordan and has acted as the designated universal postal operator since 1 January 2003 under the Postal Services Law. Its post offices across the kingdom handle letters, parcels, EMS express mail, registered mail, money transfers and payments of government and private-sector bills; its offices are also one of the payment channels of the eFAWATEERcom bill system. Parcels are given a tracking number, and international shipments go through the global postal network.
Key Features
- Letters and Parcels: Domestic and international postal services.
- EMS Express Mail: A faster option for urgent shipments.
- Money and Bill Services: Money transfers and bill payments at post offices.
- Tracking: Follow a parcel by its tracking number.
How to Get Started
- Visit a Jordan Post office, or check jordanpost.com.jo for services and locations.
- Pack the parcel securely and write the address, adding customs details for international shipments.
- Choose the service (regular, registered or EMS) and pay at the counter.
- Keep the receipt and follow the parcel with its tracking number.
Parcels are sent from and collected at post offices, so you usually have to go to an office. International delivery by post can take many days, sometimes more than a month, and EMS costs more but is meant to be faster, so compare it with courier services if time matters. Services and rates change, so check at the post office.
