About Homele

Homele is an Iraqi real estate marketplace founded in 2020 in Erbil by Soran Hamawandi, built specifically to fix the fragmented, social-media-based property search that dominated the Iraqi market beforehand. It has grown into what it calls a real-estate "super app," connecting buyers and renters with over 1,000 developers and real-estate companies and more than 3,000 agents and brokers, with operations expanding into Baghdad, Basra, Mosul, Kirkuk and Karbala. In 2025 it won the Kotler Award for its work in the Iraqi property sector.
