About Gojek
Gojek began in 2010 as a Jakarta call center connecting customers to motorbike-taxi (ojek) drivers, founded by Nadiem Makarim. It launched its mobile app in January 2015 with four services - GoRide, GoSend, GoShop and GoFood - and has since grown into a super-app offering more than 20 services under GoTo Group, the company formed by Gojek's 2021 merger with e-commerce platform Tokopedia. Gojek itself now serves over 38 million monthly active users in Indonesia alone, and also operates in Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines.
